An artist, musician, actor and poet, Nicola Carpinelli returned to the canvas after a 10 year hiatus where he personally battled addiction and thoughts of ending his own life, to express his personal feelings and experiences in regard to this very sensitive subject of suicide.

“Sometimes painting your feelings can replace the act of ending your own life. So I set out to paint these extraordinary artists, poets, if you will. Artists of all types who have inspired millions all over the world. In this assemblage of images entitled ‘Dead Poets’, I have featured people from many areas of the art world. Writers, chefs, designers, painters, models, actors, and more.”
